Flower panel "Gladiolus with digitalis"

In order to decorate the room and to have a good time, you can make a flower panel using paper origami technique. Shrubs of gladiolus origami are very beautiful and blend well with the fistulas of foxglove. We need five to seven days to make them, and the instructions for making can be understood by children from seven or eight years old.

To work on handicraft we need: - A pencil; - White paper (we used A4 sheets of paper); - Gouache or watercolor paints of blue, yellow, pink and green colors ; - Brush and container with water; - PVA glue; - Scissors; - Knitting a needle or a ballpoint pen; - A thread or wire with a needle. Starting work, we take a clean sheet and cut a square out of it, folding the top edge of the paper to the lower opposite side:

Folding the basic figure" double square ", you need to fold the sheet four times: two times in one side and two times in the other:

Now we expand a square sheet and fold it into a double square shape: Origami paper flower panel

Now the right and left upper sides of the resulting rhombus should be bent and folded to the middle, and then returned their previous position. This must be done to outline the exact lines of the folds:

Having returned the old position to both sides of the figure, you need them bend inside:

Then turn the shape and bend the lower sides to the middle, after which, also returning them the previous position, add them to the figure:

Next, the lower lateral triangles that began to stand out now need to be bent upward:

After that they need to be folded inside the figure and flipped it: A floral panel made of origami paper

Now we need to bend forward the top large sheet of the figure, and fold the three back “petals” in the opposite direction, after which, opening them up, bend their side edges closer to the middle (this will prevent the petals from foldingback):

For the lower petal of the finished flower to be larger and the finished flower more lush, you need to take for him, part of the two side upper petals, folding the figure in the manner shown in the following photo:

Now Everything - our gladiolus, made of paper using origami technique, is ready. We need to make five such flowers, and then we will start creating the stem and leaves. To manufacture the stem, we need paper 2.5 - 3 times longer than the one we used to work with the flower; You can take the paper remaining after working with flowers:

From a glued rectangle you need to cut a long triangular shape and fold it in half, after which its sides are folded to the middle; and then, turning in the opposite direction small triangles in the lower tips, fold up the lower ends themselves:

Next, bend the side edges from the middle of the figure (not from the top) so , as shown in the photo:

After that, fold the whole sheet in half:

Now we need to take one of the trimmed triangles and first bend its sides to middle, then fold it in half and paste it into the previous one.

such sheets we need to do three more. Next, the color figures need to be glued to the longitudinal groove of the sheet from the side where the smaller sheet is glued. In order to make the figures more securely glued, they can be compressed using clothespins:

When all will be glued flowers and leavesthe crafts can be painted:

After that we have gladiolus bush ready and we can start making foxglove . For it, we need to divide two sheets of white paper into eight parts, and from the third sheet make the same pointed stem as for gladiolus:

From the cut parts of the leaf, we need to glue the flowers of digitalis in the form of cones and glue them to the paper stalk:

When the glue hardens, you can paint the flowers:

Leaves for foxglove need to be made on the model of stem production, but wider (without bending the sides), and also glue and paint them:

Having made two bushes (total with 16 flowers),we decided to attach to them another flower, assembled from seven parts of different sizes, glued together:

This flower is like a yellow camellia. After gluing all its parts, it will be necessary to trim the petals (cut off their extra sections), and the petals can be folded and pressed to the middle, after which they should be dissolved to form a bud. All finished flowers should be gathered together and tied with a ribbon. There is a ribbon behind a large flower of camellia, but it is not visible:

Next we take A4 paper and we cut it into thin strips, which we twist into rolls using a ballpoint pen and glue it together:

Each tube should there must be a narrow beginning and a wide end, so that the wider end of one tube can be glued into another, narrower one.Combining 4 - 5 tubes in this way, we twist them and get a figure in the form of an eight:
 Origami paper flower panel
The resulting we need to process the figure (wrap) with other tubes several times in order to make it stronger. You can hold several tubes through the middle of crafts:

When you need to start processing a second time, then weave we will be a little different than the first: having made several turns with a twisting tubule on one side, we will lead it to the other and, having also made several turns there, draw a tubule to the opposite side, and so we will wind it all the way through. If the tube ends, you will need to insert a new one, and so that the weaving does not diverge, you can use the clothespin:

After finishing work with tubules, our crafts look likelike this:

It can be covered with a layer of clear or white acrylic lacquer, if available, attach Flowers. Flowers can be glued, but it will be safer to sew with wire or thread with a needle. And after that our origami flower panel is ready for paper:
