How to pull the casing from the well: the rules for dismantling

Structurally, any aquifer well is a simple well, having a small and significant depth. The walls of such a water source require mandatory reinforcement. Indeed, in the event of their shedding, water intake from the well will become impossible. For the reinforcement of the walls of aquifers and structures such as casing are used.

When may disassembly be necessary

The wells drilled in a suburban area usually serve for a very long time. Even steel non-galvanized casing pipes, despite their tendency to rust, are able to maintain the normal operation of the aquifer for about 40 years. But the plastic that does not rot in water can last for many decades.

Casing is dismantled in suburban areas, so rarely. But sometimes the need for this procedure among owners of private houses, unfortunately, still arises.To pull a pipe from a well shaft to a reinforcing wall, usually in the case of:

  • rusting of the reinforcing layer and its inability to perform its functions;
  • reduced water quality due to contact with the pipe walls;
  • obstruction in the pipe body.

Sometimes the filter holes are blocked in the wells. To remedy the situation in this case is usually also possible only by removing the pipe.

What to keep in mind

Actually the procedure for extracting the casing is technologically complex and is very labor intensive. Therefore, they assign such work most often to specialists. Pull out the reinforcing pipe professionals using special equipment. But even in this case, the dismantling event often ends in failure.

It is believed that the hardest thing to pull casing from wells drilled in moist clay soils. This is especially true of deep mines. In any case, the procedure for dismantling the casing often ends with its rupture or collapse of the borehole walls.

Even strong steel pipes can be torn when lifting from a shaft. To take out the plastic reinforcing structure is usually very, very difficult.Therefore, it is necessary to undertake an independent disassembly of the casing only if the well has a not too great depth and is drilled in the soil of low density.

The main methods of dismantling

For the extraction of casing from wells in different cases, methods can be applied:

  • stretch;
  • walking around;
  • unscrewing.

DIY removal can only be done using the first two technologies. The application of the method of unscrewing requires special equipment of complex design.

How to pull the pipe with his own hands stretch

This method can also be applied if the pipeline consists of one pipe and several pipes connected to each other. Dismantling is performed according to this technology approximately as follows:

  • at the end of the pipe fix the clamp;
  • cables are attached to the clamp;
  • a jack pulls the pipe up to its break;
  • take out the torn part out;
  • in the mine is lowered a special tool to capture;
  • using the jack pull the next part of the pipe.

From a too deep well, it is most likely that you will not be able to get a pipe by yourself using this method. But it is still possible to try dismantling at a mine of average depth with your own hands, using the tension technology.

In this case, the upper part of the pipeline is also pulled using a compression clip. The lower part in such wells is usually perforated for filtration. You can grab it, for example, with a home-made tool operating on the “fish hook” principle and consisting of:

  • steel durable rod;
  • cable loops;
  • two located below the rod on both sides, movable in the vertical plane "whiskers", the total length of which in the expanded state slightly exceeds the diameter of the shaft.

At the exit from the well, the “whiskers” of such a device will unfold and enter the holes of the pipe filter. This in turn will allow to raise the structure to the surface. To make such an exciting tool you can try it yourself out of scrap materials.

When dismantling long pipes from deep wells, when applying this technology, another device is additionally used, which is called a pry. This tool picks up the pipe at the time of permutation of the clamp.

Jacking use

Pull casing often with the use of such a tool.In this case, the end of the pipe is also crimped with a yoke and fixed on a large lever on the gentle shoulder of the jack. Further, the pipe is simply pulled out.

It is believed that to perform the dismantling of this technology is best to use a jack from KamAZ. You can also try to pull the pipe with a rail jack.

Dredging with a drum

This technology of casing extraction involves the use of home-made equipment of special design. Collect exhaust device in this case as follows:

  • from channels make two racks in the form of an inverted "T";
  • bearings are mounted at the top of the uprights;
  • through bearings pass a strong steel axis;
  • set the drum with a handle;
  • attached to the drum cable.

The width of the racks of such equipment is usually 60 cm, and the height is 1 m. Bearings for assembling such a device are best taken by 4 cm. When using such a homemade device, the pipe is extracted by rotating the drum.

Disassembly by pacing

Using this technology, a pipe from a not too deep well can be lifted without damage.Perform disassembly in this case as follows:

  • at the top of the pipe there is a circulating pump;
  • include water supply;
  • simultaneously with flushing the pipe is rocked and loosened.

Rinsing with water in this case is to reduce the coefficient of friction between the walls of the mine and the pipe. If the well has a significant diameter, the pumps using this technology are not fixed at the top, but sink to the bottom.

Best of all, this technique is suitable, of course, for mines drilled in a fairly dense earth. Loose soil when loosening the pipe can easily collapse, which completely disables the well.

Dismantling by unscrewing

This removal technique is often used for very deep wells, the reinforcing pipes of which consist of several parts fastened together with threaded joints. The excavation in this case is performed using a drilling rig.

The process of dismantling of this technology involves a combination of torque and tension load. When using this technique, the fishing crown of a special design is inserted into the mine.Next, perform 20 or more turns of the nearest element of the pipe counterclockwise.

After unscrewing the pipe section is relatively easy to take out. Further, the fishing crown is again lowered into the well and the process is repeated for the next casing element.

Alternative methods

Removing the pipe from the well is actually quite difficult. In the case of calling specialists, this procedure can also become very costly. Therefore, before proceeding with the dismantling of the casing, the owners of a country house should consider alternative ways to improve the efficiency of using the well and improving water quality.

Most often, the need to remove the pipe with your own hands arises due to the rusting of its walls. In this case, you can try to solve the problem by installing another pipe, this time a plastic one, into the well. This procedure will further strengthen the walls of the mine and eliminate the contact of water with rusting metal.

Of course, the diameter, and hence the well productivity, when using another pipe decreases.However, the mine will still be operational, most likely for a long time. In this case, and too much money the owners of a country house do not have to spend.

When dismantling pipes from deep wells drilled on not too dense soil, there is a very high probability of collapse of the mine walls. In order not to pay money to specialists in vain and not to waste their time, in this case, the owners of the suburban area may need to think about drilling a new well. Such a procedure will cost only slightly more expensive than dismantling a pipe from an old mine. The country house will be provided with water guaranteed and quickly.
