LED bulb from incandescent light

In this lesson, you will learn how to make an LED light bulbout ofincandescent bulbsthat can be used in various projects.LED light bulbconsumes less power and due to the use of different LEDs and resistors it can be connected to different power sources and depending on the color of the LEDs, shine with the selected color. For example, you can take an old desk lamp, restore it, install an LED light bulb and connect it to a USB port (power supply, batteries), and also perfectly suit steampunk fans.

Materials and tools:

  1. 3 LEDs (or more);
  2. 56 ohm resistors (or others, depending on the power source);
  3. incandescent lamp
  4. soldering iron, solder
  5. hot glue gun and glue sticks
  6. wires;
  7. pliers;
  8. screwdriver.

Step 1

Take an incandescent bulb and disassemble it. Take a soldering iron, heat it and melt (remove) the solder at the bottom of the base. Now remove the black glass that serves as insulation, it breaks quite easily - take the pliers (or needle nose pliers), grab it and either pull it out, or the insulation will crack and crumble from squeezing. Finally, remove the “insides of the lamp” - take a screwdriver and smash the glass “leg”, knock on the edges with a screwdriver from the inside, holding the glass “leg” to beat off more glass and the hole turned out bigger. Shake out all of the light bulb, if something is left, then remove it with tweezers or narrow pliers.

If a white coating is applied inside the lamp, remove it: pour in some sand usually, pour in water and shake well until all the coating is washed, pour out, rinse the lamp and leave to dry.
