Luminaire - bookshelf light
"Book-lamp"is an inexpensive, simple and fast-made backlight for a bookshelf that looks beautiful on a shelf. For example, you have a large library - make several such lamps to illuminate all the shelves, and attach them to the general switch.
Materials and tools:
- inexpensive lamp from IKEA (you can separately take a wire, plug, switch and lamp holder)
- hardcover (you can buy a used one or take it from your library);
- office knife;
- safety glasses.
First, we'll disassemble the luminaire, for this we remove the pieces of plastic by pliers, leaving the wire, the cartridge, etc. .. Or we will also collect the same thing from the cartridge, wire, switch and plug.
Open the book, attach the lamp to the top of the page, mark out the manual space and, using a stationery knife, cut through the pages of the book.The most optimal use of the "L-shaped" form for cutting.
Now we will cut out the space for the cord, for this we divide the book thickness into about 3 equal parts and cut the middle one. The space for the cord is ready.
Put the lamp in the book. The easiest way to use gum is to fasten the lamp and the pages together. A more solid option: pre-glue the "on the contour" of the page of the book with PVA glue, fix the lamp with silicone glue and glue the peel of the page to the inside.
